Stop Pot Treason Against Michigan Caregivers - Remind your State Legislator Today! #NoChanges to Michigan Marijuana Laws!

by Richard Clement - Legislative Aide, Weed Warrior and Cannabis Advisor to the Office of Michigan House District 5 - Representative Cynthia A. Johnson

On September 14th, 2021, three House of Representative members (1 Democrat and 2  Republicans) introduced legislation to overhaul current Michigan Marijuana Law for the purpose of cornering the market on Cannabis in Michigan. These house bills if enacted into law would remove up to 80% of the rights of Cannabis consumers by removing legal protections for caregivers and, giving the MRA enhanced enforcement powers to State Police, county and, local law enforcement agencies.

According to the new changes, effective March 1st, 2022, all caregivers will be reduced to one patient instead of 5. The proposed changes redefines the caregiver patient relationship with a "specialty grower designation" and, grants local authorities the power to destroy equipment, medicine and, seize assets much easier.  The three bills introduced today will severely gut the Michigan Marijuana Law if signed into law.

How to Stop These House Bills  from Becoming law.

House Bill 5300 / House Bill 5301 / House Bill 5302

Contact your State Senator, State Senator and, the Governor's office to vote no on all of these bills. All of these bills are tie-barred meaning that if one of these bills does not pass, then the entire bill package fails. Therefore make sure that you are registered to vote for the purpose of:

  • Voting the offenders out of office in 2022
  • Retaining elected officials who support the will of the people in 2022
  • Recalling any of the legislators that sponsored or co-sponsored any of those bills.
  • Repealing the changes through a ballot referendum.
  • Being a constituent in one of the offender's district to be eligible to call their office and, set up a meeting regarding the bills.
  • Attend the Subcommittee on Regulatory Affairs to make sure that those bills never make it out of the committee.

If these methods do not work then the recall process is in play. Constituents of the offender's district are strongly encouraged to file recall papers for insubordination to their employer.

Rep T.C. Clements and, any other legislator who dares to approve this fiasco of bills.

We cannot allow organizations like the Michigan Cannabis Manufacturers Association to steal our rights that we fought for with our voices and our vote.  Shame of Steve Linder and his band of merry-men to change laws that were fought for and approved by the majority of Michiganders.

Therefore we want you to contact the following legislators:

and say #NoChanges to the Michigan Marijuana Laws!

Gov. Whitmer must Pardon all Michigan Citizens convicted of Marijuana Crimes TODAY!

An Urgent Message from the Weed Warrior to Michigan Citizens who have been convicted of Marijuana Crimes in the State.

Michigan Gov Gretchen Whitmer must pardon and, expunge the records of Michigan citizens that have marijuana crimes with immediate effect.  While the House and Senate argue about a budget, citizens in Michigan are being tested and arrested for possession of cannabis. County commissioners statewide are counting on the continued obstruction by Lansing legislators to continue funding their budgets with fines and asset seizures of Marijuana patients and users.

A pardon from the Governor is the only way to get around a legislature that is hell bent on maintaining the status quo of the school to prison pipeline. While states like Nevada and Colorado expunging marijuana crimes from citizen records, Michigan legislators in the House and Senate are being  a bunch of obstructionists in the path of progress and social justice.

The People Have Spoken, they want to keep Tokin..
Gov. Whitmer, Pardon All Pot Prisoners TODAY!

Certain prosecutors in Michigan charge defendants with 2 or more felonies to prevent them from expunging their criminal records. The true intent is to maintain budgets in their municipalities that get their income from rehabilitation programs and incarceration in for-profit jails.

The next group of people who would be impacted by an executive pardon are the interests that are promoting junk science with technology.  For instance, the sobriety meters for marijuana use that law enforcement is using has been proven false and misleading.  Singling out drivers under the influence of Marijuana vs someone who is under the influence of doctor prescribed psychotic drugs like Lositanie or Risperdal is a form of discrimination.

There are many tests that show the levels of THC in a person’s bloodstream is irrelevant.

State legislators have been frequently challenged to take a driver test under the supervision of the Michigan State Police on the effects of cannabis upon a Medical Marijuana patient, versus another legislator under the influence of psychotic, doctor prescribed drugs.

In addition to that test, another test involving 10 shots of rum vs 10 tokes from a marijuana only cigarette is requested to show that Insurance rates are all out of line and, promoted by interests in the for-profit prison industry. This includes the companies who promote the cannabis masking fluids and others like the technology companies developing the hardware supporting the junk science rules of the Michigan legislature.

To make this happen you must do the following:
  1. Contact Governor Gretchen Whitmer
    1. Website:  www.michigan.gov/whitmer
    2. Leave a Comment at https://somgovweb.state.mi.us/GovRelations/ShareOpinion.asp
    3. Call the Office @ 517 335-7858
  2. Demand that she ignores the legislators in the House and Senate who want to maintain the status quo by requesting a list of current and paroled marijuana convictions by county in Michigan.
  3. Ask Attorney General Dana Nessel (miag@michigan.gov)  to send a memo to all 83 county prosecutors to dismiss and expunge all charges and, conviction for Marijuana possession, use, and selling for anyone on that list.
  4. Raise pure hell, with
    AG Dana Nessel
  5. Furthermore, anyone on that list will be given a preference if they want to be employed for a job in the industry or, apply for a Marijuana license to grow, sell, and manufacture products from the Cannabis plant.

With a blanket pardon for pot prisoners and, removing the barrier of testing positive for marijuana use, jobs will be filled, and Gov. Whitmer can maintain her agenda of fixing all of the damn roads, fixing the auto insurance rates and, repair the damage of Emergency Management upon the people of the State of Michigan.

Reforming Marijuana Laws at Ports Of Entry between US and Canada in the new NAFTA/USMOC with Amendments

By Cannabis Across Borders

If you are a Medical Marijuana patient and travel between Windsor and Detroit, your human right to medicine is being violated with fines and arrests by Canadian and American Border Security. In the new NAFTA/USMOC agreement, a 70 gram personal use exemption certificate for a minimum amount of $20 dollars would create revenue to pay for new bridge work on the Detroit River.  This will allow patients safe access to their medicine and, pay off the construction and maintenance debt for new  Ambassador and Gordie Howe Bridge spans.  The debt would be paid for in 10 years instead of current 30 year plan.

The time to end the harassment at ports of entry for Medical Marijuana patients is now for citizens of Canada and United States. Legislators on both sides of the border must add amendments to current and future NAFTA/USMOC agreements to codify the 70 gram personal use exemption rule at all ports of entry.

At a global level, member nations of the Commission on Narcotics and Drugs must man up, woman up, get up and vote YES on the  recommendation of the World Health Organization to remove Cannabis from the controlled substances list.

This will allow research on Cannabis including CBD oils and products like cement, fuel, environmental cleanup and, other needs. However, at the request of the FDA, the vote has been delayed over 4 times because of more time needed to do research. The employers of the FDA are directing you to accept the findings of the WHO at the next scheduled meeting or, by twitter using President Donald Trump's Twitter account.

With a carbon copy sent to US House of Rep members
Brenda Lawrence ( )
Rashida Tilab () and,
State of Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer ().

With one tweet we can end the discrimination and persecution of Medical Marijuana patients at ports of entry. Therefore the time is now for the FDA and United States representatives at the United Nations () to get their tweet together, vote YES TO CANNABIS, and move on.

US Rep Brenda Lawrence (D-Detroit)

As of this writing, the current United States Attorney General William Barr leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to Marijuana Reform.  He is another Bill Schuette in a suit but, the overwhelming approval of Marijuana legalization in 30 out of 52 states is forcing this gentleman to reconsider his attitude towards the plant. He is now forced to accept the Federal Marijuana States Act HR420 that addresses the reality of the people to legalize the plant from GOD.

Website: World Health Organization Recommends Decrim for Cannabis 2019

In the video below, he expresses his hate and, would love to put every marijuana user in jail just like the good old days of John Ashcroft and, Harry Anslinger. However you can see in his rant against the plant, he is conceding defeat.  Regardless of what he is saying about supporting the people, do not trust him as long as he is occupying the Office of the Attorney General of the United States of America or the top cop in charge.

All Road Politics are local

To address the neighborhood quality of life issue, one of the projects we sponsor is the Fix This Damn Road fundraiser supported by a gofundme page named yesweedcan. This effort was created to help repair the damage from the wear and tear from the heavy traffic use by trucks at Davison and I-75 freeway, located in zip code 48203 and 48212 (Highland Park/Detroit Michigan).

Building Bridges With Cannabis/Hemp/Weed

With an initial goal of raising $2 Million dollars, this money will be exclusively used to fix that part of the road for at least 30 to 40 years. With matching investments from the trucking industry, this problem with be solved in 2 to 4 years creating jobs and lowering auto insurance rates We are confident in raising funds for the effort because hempcrete will help create jobs, build bridges, and fix roads.

Furthermore, if someone can raise money for a border wall, we can do much better by out raising their dollar amount to finance the work on two bridges over the Detroit River, a tunnel under the river and, road repair at the Davison and I-75 interchange located in zip codes 48203 and 48212.  When used properly Hempcrete grown in Michigan will be the primary source of construction material to get the job done.

Cannabis Across Borders with
US House Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-Ann Arbor)  ()

Border Security means protecting American Medical Marijuana patients at ports of entry into Canada. We hope that lawmakers on both sides of the river rise up and agree to support humanitarian justice at ports of entry into Canada and Mexico granting safe access to medicine for Domestic and International Medical Marijuana patients.  The time is NOW to tear down that wall of oppression against the plant from GOD that was made for your Bod..

Building A Bridge of Unity With Cannabis Reform on 4/20/2019

By Cannabis Across Borders
"The City of Detroit shall not be a point of no return for "Marijuana Crimes" against the United States of America"  - Cannabis Across Borders

On April 18, 19, and 20th the first legal cross-border celebration of Cannabis will occur on the Detroit River.  Starting with a 3 day festival in Windsor Canada all the way to Detroit Michigan and back, people will have the opportunity to sample each others products. If you have a passport, enhanced ID and, no marijuana in your possession, you can freely go back and forth on the tunnel or the bridge. If you have a boat, good for you too! Upon entry into Canada, you must declare your medicine at customs and give it to them instead of getting arrested for drug possession.

The historic Detroit River was the goal line when it came to escaping from slavery. People swam and walked over ice flows to freedom. It is a popular spot for deportation of immigrants and cannabis criminals like Canadian Marc Scott Emery. Now it represents the future of North America in fighting the war on opioids with 2 new bridges, Cannabis and, a tunnel.

With a change in policy, people will be able to posses their medicine at ports of entry without arrest, fines, or conviction. Instead of a wall of division and prisons, we can build bridges of inclusion, with no delusion, ending the war on Cannabis at all ports of entry into Canada.

Now is the time to petition Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to stop arresting American medical marijuana patients at ports of entry into Canada on humanitarian grounds. At the same time we must lift all penalties for international travel by expunging all marijuana crimes of Canadian citizens entering the United States of America. Especially Marc Emery because he was kicked out of America through the Detroit/Windsor Tunnel like Dolemite from San Antonio Texas with $150 dollars in cash, a new pair of Nike shoes, and a gourmet meal in handcuffs. American citizens like Charlo Greene of Alaska, would not be arrested and strip searched at Canadian Ports of Entry.

One Day There Will Be, BC Bud at the Duty Free
Canadian Prime Minster Justin Trudeau

We applaud Canadian union Laborers International Union of North America Local 625 (www.liuna625.ca) for writing medical marijuana into their bargaining agreement to fight the nationwide Opoid epidemic.

If you feel that you are going to get stopped at Canadian ports of entry you must declare that you are a medical marijuana patient at the customs booth. Your medicine will be confiscated and you will be allowed entry. Another benefit of declaration is that if thought you cleaned out your car and they find a roach, depending on the Border Security Officer's mood at the time, you will not be arrested, strip searched, fined and sent back to Detroit.

Website: Instructions for Declaring Med. Marijuana at Ports of Entry into Canada

Instead of fines and deportation, a duty tax of $20 declared at customs will help the State of Michigan pay off the loan for the new Gordie Howe Bridge. This will settle out of court the compensation to the owners for the new Ambassador Bridge re-construction with a rail line, foot traffic and bike lanes. The USA and Singapore must quit dragging their feet at the United Nations by continuing to postpone the recommendations of the World Health Organization on rescheduling cannabis from a drug with no medical use to a medicine and a manufacturing product.

We the People have told you all, to Free The Weed and, F- the Wall!
(Where "F-" is a variable in the statement)
Time to quit the BS at the United Nations in Vienna and Vote YES for Cannabis

Otherwise, these products belong at the duty free shops at Detroit/Windsor Tunnel and Ambassador Bridge because, the majority of the citizens on both sides of the Detroit River accept the use of Marijuana as a medicine.

Therefore the members of Cannabis Across Borders are requesting of the Canadian Government a 70 Gram limit of declared medicine at customs subject to duty tax of no more than $20 on the Ambassador Bridge and Detroit/Windsor Tunnel.

Urgent Message for International and Domestic Medical Marijuana Patients at Ports of Entry

By Cannabis Across Borders

It is the position of the United States of America to oppose the recommendation of the World Health Organization regarding the re-scheduling of Cannabis products at the United Nations before the Commission of Narcotics and Drugs on Monday March 18th, 2019 in Vienna Austria.  This is contrary to the popular vote of American Citizens in 30 states and, the passage of the Farm Act law by congress in 2018.

Border Security means protecting patients at ports of entry...

Your voice is needed to tell your representative at the United Nations about how you feel that the United States of America should vote YES on all recommendations by the World Health Organization to reschedule Cannabis including plants and extracts.  This vote will direct the legislators in Washington DC to remove Cannabis from the Controlled Substances Act by making House Resolution 420 the law.

The Official Position of the United States of America regarding Cannabis

At this time, it is uncertain whether the above notification from WHO of recommendations for proposed scheduling action on cannabis and cannabis related substances will be acted upon by 62nd session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (from 14 to 22 March 2019). The Bureau of the 62nd Commission is currently considering whether to postpone voting on the cannabis-related recommendations until the reconvened meeting in December, or the 63rd session of the Commission on Narcotic Drugs, March 2020. If voting is deferred to a later date the comment period will be reopened.
Although WHO has made specific scheduling recommendations for each of the drug substances, the CND is not obliged to follow the WHO recommendations. Options available to the CND for substances considered for control under the 1971 Psychotropic Convention include the following: (1) Accept the WHO recommendations; (2) accept the recommendations to control but control the drug substance in a schedule other than that recommended; or (3) reject the recommendations entirely.
Cannabis, also known as marijuana, is a plant known by biological names Cannabis sativa or Cannabis indica. It is a complex plant containing multiple cannabinoids and other compounds, including the psychoactive substance THC and other structurally similar compounds. Cannabinoids are defined as having activity at cannabinoid 1 and 2 (CB1 and CB2, respectively) receptors. Agonists of CB1 receptors are widely abused and are known to modulate motor coordination, memory processing, pain, and inflammation, and have anxiolytic effects. Marijuana is the most commonly used illicit drug in the United States.
The principal cannabinoids in the cannabis plant include THC, CBD, and cannabinol. These substances are controlled in Schedule I under the CSA. The synthetically derived single pure stereoisomer, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (also known as dronabinol) is the active ingredient in two approved drug products in the United States, MARINOL (dronabinol) capsules, also available as a generic, and SYNDROS (dronabinol) oral solution. MARINOL is controlled in Schedule III, while SYNDROS is controlled in Schedule II under the CSA. Both MARINOL and SYNDROS are approved to treat anorexia associated with weight loss in patients with AIDS, and nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotherapy in patients who have failed to respond adequately to conventional treatment.
CBD is another cannabinoid constituent of the cannabis plant. In the United States, one CBD-containing product, Epidiolex oral solution, has received marketing approval by the FDA for the treatment of seizures associated with two rare and severe forms of epilepsy, Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome, in patients 2 years of age and older. On September 28, 2018, the Drug Enforcement Administration placed FDA-approved product Epidiolex to be marketed into Schedule V of the CSA. Currently, CBD that is not contained in an FDA-approved product with less than 0.1 percent THC is controlled as a Schedule I substance under the CSA. CBD is not specifically listed in the schedules of the 1961, 1971, or 1988 International Drug Control conventions.
FDA, on behalf of the Secretary of HHS, invites interested persons to submit comments on the notifications from the United Nations concerning these drug substances. FDA, in cooperation with the National Institute on Drug Abuse, will consider the comments on behalf of HHS in evaluating the WHO scheduling recommendations. Then, under section 201(d)(2)(B) of the CSA, HHS will recommend to the Secretary of State what position the United States should take when voting on the recommendations for control of substances under the 1971 Psychotropic Convention at the CND meeting in March 2019.
Comments regarding the WHO recommendations for control of Cannabis and Cannabis Resin; Dronabinol (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol); Tetrahydrocannabinol (Isomers of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol); Extracts and Tinctures of cannabis; Cannabidiol Preparations; Preparations Produced Either by Chemical Synthesis or as Preparation of Cannabis; under the 1961 Single Convention will also be forwarded to the relevant Agencies for consideration in developing the U.S. position regarding narcotic substances at the CND meeting.

Field Report: Wayne County Judge Disables City Marijuana Website

By Richard C. Clement - Marijuana Policy Consultant

UPDATE:  The restraining order was vacated by Judge Colombo on January 4th, 2018 and is no longer valid.

The Detroit Planning Commission has declared war against voters of the City of Detroit by endorsing a lawsuit brought by a shadow group of plaintiffs, led by Chris Hindo of VK Real Estate Holdings located at 12800 Eight Mile Road. Board Chairman Alton James and this group have petitioned Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Robert Colombo to prevent the City of Detroit Building Safety and Engineering Department from issuing licenses from the City website.  In order to get a State License, a business must be approved by a local unit of government.
The old ordinance was repealed on November 7th, 2017 and, any part of the old ordinance cannot be re-implemented for 365 days by rule of law. This means that restrictions on things like drive through service, parks, and liquor stores have been removed. In addition to these changes, rules on religious institutions and schools have been modified to account for open school and active church congregations.  If you are a Rastafarian or any religion where the holy herb is a primary tenant of the faith, you may be entitled to protection under the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act.  This law covers religious land use and non-Michigan citizens who are Medical Marijuana patients in another state.

Judge Robert Colombo - Wayne County MI 3rd Circuit Court Judge

On February 18th at 9am, please be present in the Court in room 701 at the Coleman Young Municipal Center to observe the case proceedings. The goal of the Planning commission and Chris Hindo is to ask this Judge to issue an order to void the results because the Commissioners are stating that:

Citizens do not have the right to vote on where a Marijuana business can locate within the City of Detroit, only Planning Commission members can.

If you support the rule of law and, are tired of people disrespecting your vote, call city hall to demand that Mayor Mike Duggan Direct the City Law Department to:

Ask Judge Colombo to issue an order requiring the City of Detroit to start taking applications through the City Website and in person at the Coleman Young Municipal Center and dismiss this frivolous lawsuit.

Website: Mayor Mike Duggan - City of Detroit

With their vote, the electorate of the City of Detroit is directing their government to Opt-Into State Marijuana laws by providing these services. By choosing this path, this is the same process how Lansing brought us Emergency Managers and rammed them down the people’s throat.

Request by Plaintiffs to Invalidate the Vote of the People for Marijuana Jobs and Opportunities

Urgent Message! Stop Voter Fraud Attempt by Detroit Business Owners

By The Weed Warrior

Your presence is being requested at room 913 Coleman Young Municipal Center, Wayne County Circuit Court  on Thursday, January 4th, 2018 @ 9AM   in the courtroom of the Hon. Judge Lita Popkey  to protest the attempt by a small group of Marijuana business owners to reject the results of the November 7th, 2017 vote to opt-into and rezone business in accordance with State Laws.
UPDATE: as of Jan. 3rd, 2018 @ 9:00pm.
Please go to room 701 instead, and ask (or call (313) 224-5430) Courtroom Clerk Matthew Johnson to meet with Judge Robert J. Colombo Jr.  to express your feelings about your vote being invalidated by special interest groups that want to monopolize the Detroit Marijuana Market. The people are the employer of any Board of Zoning or any other government entity and our Vote is our Voice that must be respected.
As of January 3rd, 2018 the Temporary Restraining Order has been vacated by Judge Colombo.  Therefore the new ordinance takes immediate effect as of 12:01 January 4th, 2018. This includes drive through facilities, as that part of the old ordinance was repealed also.
Website: Judge Robert J. Colombo

Clear the Confusion with Cannabis

This deplorable attempt to reject the results of an election is a direct slap in the face of anyone who has fought for and died for the right as a citizen to be a part of a vital democratic process. This appears to be an attempt for a few owners to prevent others from opening and, forcing others out.

We are urging Judge Popkey to dismiss this blatant attempt of voter fraud.

The plaintiffs in this lawsuit want the City of Detroit to continue to enforce the old Marijuana Ordinance that was repealed by the electorate by 60%.  Under the new State Law and City Ordinance, everyone who was approved by the Board of Zoning Appeals has an advantage to finally achieve their license.  The City of Detroit website is being modified to accept the 5 different licenses that the State has authorized.

The Lansing/Okemos 7 - Marijuana Prisoners
Down with Pat Miles!   Vote Dana Nessel AG 2018

This litigation by these and other plaintiffs are unacceptable and illegal.  Children are being harmed because we are now telling them that voting does not mean anything at all, leading to voter apathy.

Per the Detroit City Charter any changes to the ordinance must wait 365 days before any action is taken to make any change. Then it must be voted upon by the PEOPLE instead of being rammed through by the council.  Any business supporting or sponsoring this voter fraud attempt must be boycotted and sanctioned by the Marijuana community.

Vote Weed 2016 - Recommended Judicial Candidates for Michigan Supreme Court - 3rd Circuit Court, and 36 District Court

by The 420 Judicial Committee Commission

The following candidates are running for Judicial positions on the Michigan Supreme Court, 3rd Circuit Court, and 36th District Court. Their documented position on Marijuana Law Reform has earned an endorsement from the Cannabis Community.  Although electing officials is a good thing, Judges can effectively void any law at their discretion.  Electing open minded judges is paramount to ending the drug war on weed and it's effects on people of color and financial drain to the community in terms of felony convictions and other law enforcement action. Endorsed candidates are in GREEN.
