Cannabis and the Corona Virus? The World Health Organization Was Right!

Field Report by Weed Warrior

As the Corona virus spreads around the world, the actions of international, federal, state and, local governments is astonishing. A declaration by the World Health Organization of a global pandemic caused governments to, limit public gatherings and, people being ordered to stay in their homes under the threat of fines or arrest. While everyone is staying locked down, the world around us has come to the realization that Cannabis is not a dangerous drug.

#LetWeedomRing for the health of our planet.

The World Health Organization made a declaration to remove Cannabis from the international controlled substances list. They declared that marijuana has medical use and, is beneficial to people suffering with various medical conditions. Many countries adapted to the change with minimal effort. However, there are some elected leaders that dismissed science and sent their nations into a global recession because of their blatant disrespect of subject experts. Countries like Canada and Mexico were okay with the change and others were not.

In a direct quote from the World Health Organization.
"At its November 2017 meeting, the WHO Expert Committee on Drug Dependence (ECDD) concluded that, in its pure state, cannabis does not appear to have abuse potential or cause harm. "

The ECDD made a recommendation for a YES vote to permanently remove Cannabis from the dangerous substances list. Unfortunately, in March 2019, member nations of the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime, led by the United States of America prevented that vote from taking place. At their annual meeting in Vienna Austria, the excuse given was more time was needed to do research on the Cannabis plant. As of this writing there is no plan to take up the legislation again.

The policy toward the treatment of cannabis users is a pandemic of epic proportions. Depending on what country you live in, you will be arrested, convicted and, in some countries the given death penalty.

By re-classifying cannabis, international prisoners of pot like Marc Emery of Canada and Danny Trevino of Lansing Michigan, Mike Thompson of Flint Michigan and others would be subjected to immediate eviction from their public housing units and allowed the freedom of international travel.

Roads, Runways and, Highways can be rebuilt with concrete developed from the Hemp Plant. This  change in policy would remove the farming industry from bankruptcy and, independent farmers from SNAP/Bridge Cards programs creating lots of jobs. For instance, the need for mass production of ventilators will dictate to employers to stop drug testing people for cannabis as a condition of employment.

TAKE ACTION NOW!!!

What you can do is to let elected officials that are applying or re-applying for their jobs in August and November elections to support the cause of adding a new amendment to the United States Constitution to specifically addressing Cannabis. This plant is human right, essential to our environment, and will help  stabilize the world economy. Issues like climate change and incarceration will be greatly affected to benefit the USA and the World if this effort results in a new law. In order to add a new amendment to the US Constitution 38 out of 50 states need to approve the update to the articles.

Finally, you must demand that the current or future person that is elected to the Office of the President of the United States, orders a YES vote for global cannabis reform at the next meeting of the UNODC in Vienna Austria.

Yes it can be done.
Yes indeed..
